The Perks in Flinthook are passive boosters that can be equipped at the start of a run and provide special bonuses. Perks can be obtained either by purchasing them from shops or from perk packs earned on a level up. Perks are separated into six categories: Eye, Blasma Pistol, Health, Luck, Move, and Star. Each category contains perks that enhance a certain aspect of your gameplay.
Any combination of perks can be equipped as long as you have enough perk points (PP) in your perk bar. Perks use up different amounts of PP. Additional PP can be obtained from the Black Market. Some perks have duplicates with stacking effects. For example, two "Know-How" perks will give you an XP boost of 20%.
These perks focus on making you Blasma Pistol more effective.

BlunderBlast
Fire a charged blast with slower speed but twice the damage by holding down (Fire button).
Holding the (Fire Button) will charge up a shot. Once the shot is fully charged, releasing the (Fire Button) will fire the shot. The shot more about half (?) as fast, but does double damage.
Payback
Your Blasma pistol is briefly more powerful after getting hit!

Fierceblaster
Your pistol blasts deal more damage!

Gain more firepower following a strong combo chain!
Player damage increases by 2 after a combo of 10.
Fading Gunslinger
Your pistol gains more firepower as your heath gets lower!
Damage is increased by (X) for every (H) points of health missing. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Death's Door
Gain more firepower when your health gets lower.
Damage is increased by (X) for every (H) points of health missing. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Fast Blast
Gives more speed to your trusty Blasma pistol!
Your Blasma Pistol shots move (X)% faster. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Faster Blaster
Gives even more speed to your trusty Blasma pistol!
Your Blasma Pistol shots move (X)% faster. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Long Shot
Adds a bit of range to your trusty Blasma pistol!
Increases the range of your Blasma Pistol by 6%. (Needs more testing.)
Looong Shot
Adds even more range to your Blasma pistol.
Increases the range of your Blasma Pistol by 12%. (Needs more testing.)
Bounceblast
Your pistol blasts become bouncing balls of hurt!
Your Blasma Pistol shots bounce off of obstacles. Also causes shots to arc when fired. When the bullet hits a wall its range is increased somewhat.
Midas' Blast
Your Blasma pistol gains more power as you gain more gold!
Damage is increased by 2 for every 500 gold coins you currently have. Caps out at +10 damage.
Boss Blaster
Gain more firepower against Pirate Bosses!
Your Blasma Pistol shots deal (X) damage to bosses. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Comboblaster
Firepower gains speed as your combo hits gets higher!
Firepower augments by (%?) per (x) combo levels.
Reckless
More firepower... at a cost: you lose part of your health and your opponents get even tougher.
Firepower now does 15 damage points instead of 10. Health is reduced by (%? seems to be logarithmic, 200 becomes 150, 150 becomes 125. Needs more testing). Enemies gain (x) more hit points. (needs clarification)
Ricochet
Your pistol blasts can pinball off any surface!
Pistol blasts now bounce of any surface that can be walked on (except destructible objects). Bounces twice before bullet despawns regardless of range increases.
Small Time
Gain more firepower against smaller enemies!
Do 15 damage instead of 10 to smaller enemies (Birds, Flyaxe's, Fish guppy torpedo's and floating space pirates) (needs clarification)
Way of the Gun
More firepower... at a cost: you slowly lose HP as time goes on!
Do 12 damage instead of 10, lose 1 of health per 30 sec time.
Hailshot
Blow away scallywags with a spread of small blasts!
Pistol blasts now split into 3 shots instead of 1, each doing 5 damage instead of 10. Projectiles are smaller.
Range does not seem to be affected. Any damage boosts such as Rat-A-Tat or Midas' Blast apply to all 3 projectiles, tripling their effectiveness!
Hailshot adds two additional shots for each Hailshot perk beyond the first.
These perks give you a boost to your survivability when raiding pirate ships.

Resistance
Protects against extreme conditions like acid and burning
Reduces (?) damage from room floor hazards (Acid pools, Burning floors, Poison cloud, etc.) by (X). (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat decrease, % based, or immunity)
Bon Voyage
Gain more health after each beaten ship!
+5 to max HP after clearing a ship.
Pirate's Grit
Become invincible for a few seconds after receiving damage!
Increases the Invincibility time after getting hit by (S) seconds. (Numbers Needed)
Pirate's Pep
Arr! You're in high spirits by adding + 5 to your HP!
+5 HP.
Pirate's Zing
You got some extra kick by adding +10 to your HP!
+10 HP.
Pirate's Vigor
You're in rude health by adding +25 to your HP!
+25 HP.
Bulwark
You're already shielded when boarding a ship!
Gain 1 shield whenever you board a ship, to a maximum of 3. (Will grant a shield even if you already have one)
Shockproof
Nothing can electro-shock you!
Immunity to shocking debuff. (?) (When you can't shoot after being hit by the electro ball turrets: Does not prevent the damage from electro balls.)
Phoenix
Upon death, return with 20 health, once.
Extra life. When lost, revives you in the same room (?) with 20 HP. If stacked, heals +20 more for each Phoenix perk gotten so far.
Boomproof
Ennemy explosive damage is reduced by half!.
Protection against explosive, halve the damage taken.
Bloodlust
Your health rises with each fallen foe but you're more vulnerable to enemy attacks!
1 HP heal per enemy slain. Take 5 more damage from enemy attacks (does not include hazards like spikes and shocker bullets, but does include contact damage from shockers and wall beetles)
Brawny
Get tougher! Become even more resistant to enemy damage!
Enemies now do (x) less damage than before. (needs numbers)
Combo Bruiser
A high Combo chain makes you more resistant to enemy damage!
(x) combo level = (x) less damage taken. (needs numbers, appears to trigger from 20 combo onwards)
These perks affect how well Flinthook can move around aboard pirate ships.
